The Los Angeles Business Council recognized Chancellor Gene Block for UCLA’s investments in student housing, which led to the first housing guarantee in the UC system. The summit also featured a recent report that UCLA professor Stuart Gabriel and CSU Northridge professor Ed Kung led on the housing crisis in Los Angeles.
UCLA’s campus commencement activities, which began in May and continue through the end of this week, have featured government leaders such as Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, California Attorney General Rob Bonta, California Surgeon General Diana Ramos and Los Angeles City Council President Paul Kerkorian, among others. In all, more than 14,000 undergraduate and graduate students will receive degrees.

Working with Agriculture for Africa, seven Bruins got their hands dirty during spring break.
