Kenyan entrepreneur and his company, Solar Freeze, received the 2022 Pritzker Emerging Environmental Genius Award for finding an environmentally friendly way to help small Kenyan farms preserve their produce in order to sell it during periods of peak demand. The $100,000 annual prize provides support for promising young innovators, boosting their careers as champions for the environment.
